For people receiving Social Security benefits, going to work can bring an important question: What will happen to my benefits?
On Thursday, October 22, from 12:00–1:00 PM, the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities Office of Transition to Adult Life & Employment will present Working & Keeping Your Benefits: Understanding NJ WorkAbility as part of its National Disability Employment Awareness Month webinar series.
The session will focus on understanding how employment can affect benefits and what individuals should know as they make decisions about work. It is part of the monthlong NDEAM webinar series focused on employment resources and supports.
Family Resource Network’s NJWINS program helps people receiving SSI or SSDI understand how working may affect their Social Security and healthcare benefits. Through individualized benefits counseling and work incentives planning, Certified Work Incentives Counselors help individuals understand their options and take their next steps with greater confidence.
