Getting to Work

Helping individuals with disabilities prepare for, find, and succeed in competitive employment.
Getting to Work is a CARF-accredited supported employment program that helps people with disabilities enter or re-enter the workforce. Through personalized services and on-the-job supports, participants build skills, gain experience, and achieve meaningful, paid employment.

Eligibility :

Adults with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities

Service Location:

Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Union counties

What the Program Offers

  • One-to-one employment services
  • Job placement assistance
  • Training and skill development
  • On-the-job coaching and support
  • Job stabilization and advancement support
  • Guidance for promotions or job changes

Who Can Participate

  • Adults with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities
  • Must be receiving services from DDD, DVRS, or CBVI
  • Mercer County services available for DVRS and CBVI clients only

How It Works

  • Referred through DDD, DVRS, or CBVI
  • Services available in Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Union counties
  • CARF-accredited supported employment program
