Free Health Insurance Help for New Jersey Residents

The Family Resource Network’s Health Insurance Navigator Program provides free, unbiased support to help you compare plans, apply for coverage, and understand your health insurance options through Marketplace plans, Medicaid, CHIP, Get Covered NJ, or NJ FamilyCare. No referrals are required. This program is open to the public.

Whether you’re applying for the first time or just have questions, our trained Navigators are here to help in English and Spanish

Open Enrollment is Now Open!

  • Open Enrollment begins November 1, 2025

  • Enroll by December 31, 2025 for coverage beginning January 1, 2026

  • Enroll by January 31, 2026 for coverage beginning February 1, 2026

Navigating your options for affordable health coverage in New Jersey can feel overwhelming, but our certified Navigators are here to guide you every step of the way. We help you compare plans on Get Covered NJ, apply for NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid/CHIP), and determine if you qualify for free or low-cost insurance. Our team also supports you with completing enrollment applications, renewals, and understanding how to effectively use your health coverage.

Special Enrollment

Who Can Participate

The Special Enrollment Period runs from February 1 through October 31, 2026. You may be eligible to enroll now if you have experienced a qualifying life event, such as:

  • Loss of health insurance

  • Marriage or divorce

  • Birth or adoption of a child

  • A recent move

  • Change in immigration status

You usually have 60 days after the life event to enroll.
