Kidz Korner

Where fun, friendship, and learning come together after school.
Kidz Korner is an after-school program offering social, recreational, and leisure activities for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program provides a safe, engaging space where kids can build friendships, practice skills, and enjoy time with peers.

Eligibility :

Youth with IDD/ enrolled in PerformCare (ages 6-20)

Service Location:

Toms River Intermediate School (youth may be bussed to program if they don’t attend school at program site)

What the Program Offers

At Kidz Korner, youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities find a place to build friendships, discover new interests, and enjoy activities that spark joy and confidence. It is more than after-school care. It is a community.

  • Daily after-school activities focused on socialization, recreation, and learning
  • Supportive, inclusive environment
  • Available during the school year and extended summer hours

Who Can Participate

  • Youth ages 6–21 with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Serving Monmouth and Ocean counties

How It Works

  • Funded through DCF (PerformCare)
  • Toms River Intermediate East
  • Monday to Friday 2:15pm to 5:30pm
  • Summer hours available
