Epilepsy Awareness Day at Walt Disney World® brings together individuals, families, and advocates from across the country to raise visibility and show support for people living with epilepsy.

By wearing purple, the international color of epilepsy awareness, participants help create moments of connection, understanding, and community pride throughout the parks.

Epilepsy Services of New Jersey is proud to support this growing awareness effort, led by Epilepsy Alliance America member organization, alongside the broader epilepsy community.

What is Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disney World?

Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disney World is a community-led awareness effort where epilepsy advocates and people with epilepsy wear purple to help raise epilepsy awareness.

Who Participates?

Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disney World brings together people living with epilepsy, parents, caregivers, and family members, advocates and allies, and epilepsy organizations and support networks.

How can you get involved?

Epilepsy Services of New Jersey is committed to making Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disney World accessible to families living with epilepsy. We are offering a stipend to help offset travel and lodging expenses for a maximum of two families who would otherwise be unable to attend. Complete your application today!

Eligibility: 

  • Applicant must be a resident of New Jersey

  • Applicant must be a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a child or adult living with epilepsy or a person with epilepsy. 

  • Priority will be given to families who have not attended an Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disney event before.

  • Confirmation of medical diagnosis of epilepsy may be required before selection.
