Surf Camp
FRN and its affiliate organization, AFSNJ, will host an annual beach bash and surf camp in conjunction with Surfer’s Healing. Surfer’s Healing has expanded its NJ Camp to include 60 children with Down Syndrome! The one day surf camp is free to attend and each child will receive one on one surf lessons with professional surfers.Deadline for applications is July 15, 2010 and spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. National Caregivers Conference

The 2010 conference will focus on technology and its implications for caregiving. Workshops will address recent advancements in technologies, adapting your home for a loved one with a disability, coping with the stress of caregiving and much more. The exhibit hall will feature caregiver friendly vendors and cutting edge product demonstrations.
John Crowley recently featured in the major 2010 motion picture Extraordinary Measures will serve as the keynote presenter. The movie chronicles Mr. Crowley’s journey as he becomes the CEO of a biotechnology start up in hopes of finding a new experimental treatment after his two youngest children were diagnosed with Pompe Disease. Mr. Crowley currently serves as President & CEO of Amicus Therapeutics, Inc.
