What We Do

Caregivers of New Jersey

Caregivers of New Jersey, an affiliate nonprofit of the Family Resource Network, is dedicated to supporting people with disabilities, older adults, and their family caregivers across New Jersey. We provide personalized support coordination services and caregiver resources to help individuals make informed choices, create person-centered life plans, and access programs that promote independence and community inclusion.

As New Jersey’s central point of contact for caregiving issues, we connect families with information, advocacy, and a network of local caregiving coalitions. Our Support Coordination team assists individuals transitioning from developmental centers into community living, ensuring they choose where they live and who supports them.

With more than 1 million caregivers in New Jersey, our mission is to raise awareness of their critical role, address their growing needs, and provide tools to reduce caregiver stress and burnout. Through education, advocacy, and connection to local resources, Caregivers of New Jersey empowers families to navigate the challenges of caregiving while improving quality of life for both caregivers and their loved ones.
