Epilepsy Services of New Jersey welcomed partners from across the country to New Brunswick, NJ for the Epilepsy Alliance America Member Organization Meeting.

Centered around the theme Sharing Solutions, the 3-day event focused on strengthening support, advocacy, and access to resources for individuals and families living with epilepsy.

With this year’s meeting taking place in New Jersey, ESNJ had the opportunity to serve as a local ambassador, helping to showcase Paint the Pony Purple to member organizations from across the country and organizing a sightseeing excursion that gave attendees a chance to experience the region together.

The gathering opened with a full-length screening of Under the Lights, followed by a conversation with writer and director Miles Levin as he begins his film tour. The story resonated across the room, and we are hopeful that, as an alliance, we can help bring greater visibility to this film and expand its reach.

Over the following days, member organizations shared updates, explored new ideas, and engaged in discussions spanning marketing, program development, and advocacy. Sessions also highlighted the continued expansion of Seizure Recognition and Response Training. To date, ESNJ has trained nearly 200,000 people across New Jersey, helping to build safer, more informed communities. Just as important as the sessions themselves was the time spent together, sharing ideas, learning from one another, and strengthening relationships across organizations.

Thank you to the board members, guest presenters, and attendees who made this event possible to continue amplifying our alliance and contribute to resources for managing epilepsy. Special thanks to Paul Kinitra, Eileen Kean, John Dalton and Sarah Kukan.

Epilepsy Alliance America is a network of like-minded organizations serving hundreds of thousands of individuals and families living with epilepsy across the country, working together to expand access to support, education, and advocacy.
